How to Increase Internet-Speed in Windows?

Internet speed is the most important factor that effects every individual in today’s world. It also irritates people and has fun with people. If you dont want to be a victim of the low Internet speed, you have to definitely checkout this article right here!

This is a very simple process and doesn’t take too much time to fix your Internet speed. Let’s get out of the trouble. In this process I will include two steps for rather good improvement in your internet speed.

 

First step first:

Before you begin please check your Internet speed that is upload and download limit using the well known website called speedtest.net. Record the upload and download limits. This is just for a proof that you have improved your Internet speed.

Next step:

Use the short-cut Window button+R to open the ‘Run’ dialogue box. Then type in the words ‘gpedit.msc’ this is the Group Policy Editor which is only available for genuine versions of Windows.run command

After the dialogue box appears click on ‘Computer configuration > Administrative Templates > Network > QoS Packet Scheduler > Limit Reservable Bandwidth.

Now a dialogue box appears where you have to select the option ‘Enabled’ and change the value of the Default Bandwidth value to ‘0‘ and click on ‘Apply changes‘ and click OK.

Last step:

Click on ‘Start’ and search for ‘Command prompt’ and right click on the option and select ‘run as administrator’ option. This prompts for permission, Click OK. Later type in the command given below.

And boom! thats it. Now you are good to go! The last thing I suggest is go on to a browser and open the well known site speedtest.net again begin the test to test your increased Internet speed! You heard it right! For your wonder you will experience a betterment in your Internet speed.

If you even include the other method you will probably see a great difference. By other method I meant to say about changing DNS Server and using Google’s public  DNS Server  or any other high speed DNS Servers without any further delay let’s get it into the second process.

 

Second process:

First Step:

In this step follow the above mentioned “Next step” from the first process.

Second step:

In the second step simply head over to your Taskbar and right click on the Internet icon on the bottom right and click  on ‘Open Network and Sharing Center’ a new dialogue box appears in which you have to select the option ‘Change adapter Settings’ on the left side of the dialogue box > Ethernet and right click on this option and select ‘Properties’ a new dialogue box appears, scroll down until you find the option ‘Internet Protocol Version 6(TCP/IPv6)’ uncheck this option and scroll up and double click on the option ‘Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4)’ then a dialogue box appears where select the second column’s option ‘Use the following DNS server addresses:’

And then select any of these following DNS servers and enter it into those two boxes that is Preferred DNS server, Alternate DNS server, that’s it you have completely set everything that brings a good change in your Internet speed. Once again check the speed in the website speedtest.net

Alternate DNS server : 8.8.4.4

2. DNS.WATCH

Preferred DNS server : 82.200.69.80
Alternate DNS server : 84.200.70.40

3. OpenDNS

Preferred DNS server : 208.67.222.222

4. Level3 DNS

Preferred DNS server : 209.244.0.3
Alternate DNS server : 209.244.0.4
